Julie has competed in all disciplines throughout her career, but it has always been dressage that held the extra fascination.

She was brought up in North Suffolk and spent her formative years producing horses for a very successful stud. Schooling and competing soon became a way of life and this increased over the years as she had the opportunity to ride and produce various breeds, sizes and temperaments of horse.

More recent years have proved very eventful for Julie, with some of the highlights being sponsored by the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) in Bahrain to conduct clinics, training pony riders to European Championships level and being selected as a talent spotter and international show judge and last but certainly not least, actually competing herself, including at international level.

Julie trains with Olympic and European Gold medallist Carl Hester.

From her base in Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire and with support of her team, she continues to teach, school, train and compete horses from Novice to Grand Prix level. Every horse on the yard is given individual attention and a training programme tailored to its needs.

Training clinics are a regular occurrence throughout the calendar year and everyone is welcome.
